A high-quality facelift
In 2016 DoorDash was a fast-growing start up in need of a facelift. The original product had been primarily built and designed by engineers and the founding team. As part of expanding to new markets and investing in marketing, DoorDash updated the brand system. To align to native mobile patterns on iOS and Android, I and another product designer did and end-to-end visual refresh of the mobile apps.
As part of the redesign we also rolled out a US-wide photography process enabling restaurants to request a photographer to take images of their food for DoorDash menus. This process enabled us to add high-quality visuals throughout the DoorDash app to support consumers making their dining decisions.
